Voice over Actors and Talents that do not belong to one of the major Actors Unions such as AFTRA or SAG are free to set their own rates. The client typically saves money by working with Non Union Voice Talents since there are no union dues or additional agent fees involved in the booking of the job.
Depending on the experience and skills of the Talent, the length and complexity of the Client's job, the Talent will quote a fee for services. It is important for the Client to understand exactly what this fee includes or does not include. Clients should ask if the fee includes the actual read of the script, sound effects, music, post production editing, studio fees, format conversion fees, delivery, etc.
So many factors go into calculating a quote for a Client's work, that it is important for the Client to be as clear as possible with the Talent when determining the fee. |
